Lyn Maureen Boroski
Lyn was born on January 31, 1951 in Queen Charlotte City, Haida Gwaii and passed away peacefully on April 27, 2014 at NRGH after a brave nine month battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her mother, Winnifred McLean (Mose Dumont), father Morris Lafreniere and youngest brother Dean McLean.
Mom will be dearly missed by her daughters Christine (Dave) and Carin. G’Ma will continue to watch over her precious granddaughters Rhyse and Paxton and will always be Danielle and Jordan’s G’Ma too.
Lyn is survived by her siblings Gloria Kehler, Terry Kelly, Colin (Vi) Kelly, Debbie (George) Burgess, Judy (Kevan) Wall and her cherished nephews, nieces and extended family.
Lyn valued the friendships she made while working at Malaspina Gardens (Lodge) as an LTCA, especially her friend Beckey Rogers. Lyn continued to make friends and respected the nurses, HCAs and staff on the 3rd floor at NRGH, all of whom held a special place in her heart. If Mom liked you, she loved you, if she didn’t, everyone knew it.
This earth has lost a special lady, confidante and friend, please join us in celebrating her life on May 24, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Branch 256 Legion at 1630 E. Wellington Rd. in Nanaimo B.C. and honor Lyn with the big (in her words) party that she requested.
