LORRAINE A SHORROCK

December 27, 2016

Shorrock, Lorraine A.

March 26 1924 - December 27 2016

Lorraine was born in South Wellington, BC to Martha and Clifford Cook.  Shortly after her birth the family moved to Edmonds Washington where she resided for her first 10 years returning with her family after the passing of her father.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Clarence and Douglas Cook, her loving husband Frederick Shorrock and her youngest son Clifford Shorrock.

Lorraine is survived by her devoted children daughter Brenda & Doug Keating, and son Douglas & Helen Shorrock.  Her adored  grandchildren Paula (Daylian) Rousseau, Ryan (Paula) Plecas, Jennifer (Darren) Shorrock, Cheryl (Rick) Shorrock, Frederick Shorrock, Lundon (Bev) Shorrock, and Jason Shorrock.  Also numerous great grandchildren and a niece Gail (Larry) Hargreaves of Nanoose.

Lorraine who was fondly know as Nana to everyone was a loving Mother and Homemaker who cared deeply for all her family and friends.  Mom loved to knit and bake and her home always held the aroma of fresh bread or pies in the oven. She was also an avid reader, she read everything she could  place her hands on, if you couldn’t find her she was curled up in a corner with a good book.

The family would like to thank Dr. Torrie and Dr. Mark of the Sows Ear Medical Clinic for their years of care and also the wonderful staff at Dufferin Place for there love and kindness during Lorraine’s short stay with them.

There will be no service by her request.
