WEBSTER, Lorne Norman

June 22, 1939 - February 11, 2004

Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Lorne came to B.C. in 1945 and spent over forty years working in the forest industry. Starting out as a whistle punk in Buckley Bay and retiring at age 60 from Weyerhaeuser - North West Bay Division in December 1999. Lorne was predeceased by his parents Norman Webster and Velma Graham and his sister Connie Boudot. Lorne is survived by his sister Sandra and four brothers Carl (Diane), Barry (Caroline), Ceryle, and William (Cheri). Lorne also leaves behind nieces Gina, Marilyn, Kirsten and nephews Bob, Rod, Dan and sister-in-law Lynde along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lorne’s greatest love was fishing, he had many memories of the fishing trips he took to the West Coast with his friends. Lorne considered any day a good day when he was on the water and in his boat the “Susie Q”. Lorne was a special brother who will be greatly missed by all of us. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Al, Hank and Jack for being there for Lorne, your friendship meant a lot to him, also a thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Hospice workers on the 5th floor of Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. No Service by request, flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Lorne’s memory can be made to the Nanaimo S.P.C.A. or Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
