Norris, Linda Carol
January 3, 1943 –
October 24, 2003
After a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Lin passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with her family by her side. She will live on in the hearts of her friends and family, including her loving husband of 42 years, Robert, his sister Brenda whom she raised, her children Tony (and Connie), Lisa (and Kevin), Angela (and Robert), Teresa (and Hugh) and Natalie, her grandchildren Stephanie, Tyler, Kelsey, Austin, Jason, Sarah, Rebecca, Clayton, Robert, Nancy, Carolann and Mike, her great grandchildren, Anthony and Bradley and her sister and brother, Pat and Bud. She will always be remembered for her loving, nurturing spirit and her warm and welcoming home. She touched the hearts of many through her work in home support, her years of foster parenting and the countless others she took under her wings. A very special wife, mom, nana, sister, aunt and friend will be sadly missed but is now free and at peace. We are comforted knowing her struggles have ended.
All are welcome to join us for a celebration of her wonderful life on Sunday, November 2, 2003, Noon – 4pm, Branch 257 of the Royal Canadian Legion, 7225 Lantzville Road, Lantzville, B.C.
Many thanks to Dr. Betty Feick and Dr. Robin Love and the nurses of the palliative care unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for their understanding, care and guidance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of BC in her memory.
