Passed away peacefully in Toronto December 15, 2012, surrounded by family. Predeceased by her loving husband, Basil Capes, November 10, 1996. Lillian will be deeply missed by her three daughters: Eileen (Clifford Samuels), Linda (Edward Jamieson) and Tracey; as well as her five grandchildren: Alexander, Michael and Jaclyn Jamieson, Ginger and Maxwell Elliott.
A loving mother, Lillian taught her daughters the value of being independent, the importance of pursuing your goals and the medicinal value in a glass of wine. In business she excelled becoming one of the first female executives as controller of a major insurance company. Lillian enjoyed life to the fullest with extensive travel, theatre and bridge, for which she won several awards. She enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Friends will be received by the family at the Terraces Clubhouse, 6301 Redonda Place, on Friday, February 8th, from 2 to 5p.m. Enter off Applecross Road. There is very limited parking, so please park on Applecross Road or on side streets.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
