In loving memory ~
It is with our deepest heartbreak that we announce the sudden, tragic passing of our dear son Liam, the only child born to Laura Salzl and Terry O'Toole. He will be deeply missed by his many uncles, aunties, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Liam was a warm, loving son with a smile that would light up his entire face. He was very present and engaging when interacting with others.
Liam retained a child-like wonder of the world throughout his life. His humour was treasured by all. He was patient, thoughtful, appreciative, and wise beyond his years. Liam was a constant source of pride and amazement, embodying the values of consideration, kindness, and compassion. His guiding motto was "Treat others the way that you would want to be treated."
Liam was a natural musician and composed many tunes on his fiddle. He later played saxophone with the Wellington Secondary School Jazz Band.
Liam loved Scouts Canada and was a member from age 8 until becoming a dedicated leader at 16. He had a great respect for animals and nature; feeling most at peace in the forest, where he would hike at every opportunity. He loved travelling and learning about different cultures... also, constructing things, Star Trek TOS, London Fog Tea, smelling fresh lavender, and being silly.
We have lost a gentle, loving spirit; someone who brought light and joy into every life he touched. We were so blessed to have had him in our lives. Thank you for that, Liam.
