Leslie George Williams

August 21, 1929 - December 20, 2022
It is with great sadness and profound peace that we share the passing of Leslie George Williams at 93 years of age.
Leslie loved life and lived it to the fullest. At the age of 14, he began as an apprentice to become a carpenter and proudly worked as a Master Builder, in this trade all his life.
He appreciated good cooking and baking, playing bridge and crib, fishing, skiing, finding treasures at flea markets, and garage sales.
Most of all, he loved his family, and always helped when needed. Dad always greeted people with a huge hand in the air and a big Hi YA! He always had a wisecrack that would leave a room in laughter.
Leslie was predeceased by Edel, his wife and soulmate of 55 years.
He is survived by his beautiful and loving girlfriend Evelyn, his children; Rolf (Moni), Vera (Ted), Wanda, and Ingrid, his grandchildren; Jamie, Josh, Rachel (Brandon), Kjirsten, Maja (Stephen), Aidan (Kira), and Hannah, 11 great-grandchildren with Everleigh being the newest addition.
Leslie is also survived by family members in Alberta, Norway, and many cherished friends in all parts of the world.
Please join us in celebrating the life of Leslie Williams on Saturday, January 28th at 1 p.m. at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, B.C.
