January 24, 1942 - December 11, 2018
Lesley passed away peacefully in Nanaimo Seniors Village after losing her battle with vascular dementia on December 11, 2018. Lesley was an exceptional woman who was loved, honoured and respected by all who knew her. She touched the lives of many with her laughter, kindness, compassion, friendship, generosity and her wonderful singing voice.

She was predeceased by her parents George and Jean Reid in Glasgow, Scotland. Lesley is survived by her loving husband Eric of 50 years and her son Allan (Sharie) and her daughter Debbie, and her grandchildren Christopher and Cassie in Nanaimo, and her brother Allan (Toni) and family in Sydney, Australia. She also has a brother in-law Errol (Margaret) and nephews and niece, Gordon, Heather in Sooke BC and Andrew in the UK and Heather's daughters, Isis and Nyah in Sooke.

Lesley was born in Bridge of Allan, Scotland and immigrated to Canada May 1968. She lived in Surrey, BC, and Saanichton, bc before finally moving to Nanaimo in 1980. She was a member of the OORP for many years in Surrey and Nanaimo and was HRL in both locations a number of times. Show was a Foster Parent in Nanaimo for 15 years and in 1992 was given the Nanaimo foster Mother of the Year award.

She served as a board member of St. Andrews United Church and with her beautiful singing voice she also sang in the Church choir. She was also a member of the Harbour Lights Lioness Service Club for many years.

The family would like to express our thanks to the staff at Nanaimo Seniors Village for their care of Lesley in the 3 years that she resided there. Memorial donations in Lesley's name can be to the charity of your choice.

A memorial service and Celebration of her Life will take place at 1pm on Saturday March 23, 2019 at St. Andrew's United Church, 311 Fitzwilliam Street, Nanaimo with reception to follow.
