September 26, 1931 - February 27, 2021
After a wonderful life full of family, friends and laughter, Leona passed peacefully at Nanaimo Regional Hospital. Born and raised in Nanaimo she was always proud of her SouthEnd roots.
Predeceased by her husband Jim and son in law Dave, Leona is survived by Glenda, Gary (Jodie), partner Peter Roberts and the loves of her life - grandchildren Elise and Ryan Green.
Leona was lucky to share her life with many friends who were dear to heart, some of which were the - Italian Girls, Beach Gang, Curling Girls, Exercise Group and her friends at Eastern Star. She was a dedicated volunteer of the Nanaimo hospital auxiliary for over 35 years.
Leona had a love for swimming, beach life, hour long telephone conversations and enjoyed her many travels.
She always took the time to establish and maintain close relationships with her friends and extended family.
Her passing will leave us with saddened hearts but her smile, brilliant blue eyes and positive outlook will be with us forever.
