With great sadness we announce the passing of Lenore Anna Socal (nee Brunner). Lenore passed away at the age of 81 on January 26, 2012, at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with her loving daughter and husband at her side. Lenore was born on July 17, 1930, in Lethbridge, Alberta. She had many happy childhood memories in Lethbridge and of her high school years in Cranbrook, BC.

Lenore will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Domenico; her daughter, Bettina; her grandchildren, Lucia and Matteo; her son-in-law, Angelo; her sister, Dorothy; her niece, Heather and her nephew, Graham as well as many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Lenore was an elementary school teacher for 41 years. She loved teaching children. She began teaching in Nanaimo in 1960 at Dufferin Crescent school and then at Georgia Ave. school until her retirement. Lenore was an active member of the Cavallotti Italian Lodge. She was a kind and caring person with tremendous love for her family. She loved dancing and getting together with friends to celebrate life.

A celebration of Lenore’s life will take place March 02, 2012 at 1p.m., Cavallotti Lodge, 2060 E. Wellington Rd, Nanaimo.
