DORMAN Lena Mary “Peggy”
February 26, 1917 ~ April 13, 2010
Peggy Dorman, born 26 February 1917 at Hayling Island, Hampshire, England, where she lived until the age of 57 (1974) when she moved to Nanaimo with her second husband, Ernie Dorman and their son Paul. Ernie passed away in 1989 and Peggy continued to enjoy her family and friends in and around Extension until 13 April 2010 when she peacefully passed away age 93. She was devoted to her family: Paul, Tracy his wife, Nevada and Josh, her grandchildren and Jerzee and Jorja, her great grandchildren. In England she leaves two daughters, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
For many years Peggy was a voluntary worker at the Moose Lodge in Chase River where she made many friends with her cheerful smile behind the bar. She was a much- loved lady and will be sadly missed. She requested cremation, no flowers but donations to the Loyal Order of Moose. A Celebration of Peggy’s Life will be held on April 25, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Moose Lodge on Cranberry Avenue, Nanaimo.
