KRALL, Laura Mary
passed away at Dufferin Place on October 4, 2004 at the age of 96. Born in Workington, England Laura immigrated to Canada with her parents at a very young age to New Westminster where she trained as a nurse at Royal Columbian Hospital. Upon graduation she moved to Nanaimo where she worked in the old hospital on Kennedy Street where she met her future husband Michael Krall. Laura spent the rest of her life in Nanaimo. Predeceased by her husband Michael in 1984 and numerous siblings. Laura is survived by two son; Wayne (Lorraine) and Ken (Margaret); four grandchildren David Krall (Laurie), Douglas Krall (Chittri), Susan (Jay) Clease and Julie (Brad) Martin; four great grandchildren Ashley and Michael Krall, Miles and Erin Clease, cousin Earl Jordan and cousins and friends in England. The family would like to thank the staff at Dufferin Place for the excellent care they gave her while she was there. There will be no service or flowers at her request. Donations may be made in Laura’s memory to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
