JOHNSTONE, Laura
passed away peacefully with dignity on August 29, 2005 with family and friends nearby. Laura, the youngest of seven children, was born in South Wellington on November 18, 1913. She is survived by her nephews, Jim Cain and Tom Johnstone, her nieces, Betty Kleven, Eva Diane Del Castillo and Trudy Stead and by Millie McArthur, widow of her nephew Malcolm McArthur. Laura attended UBC and made teaching her career. She taught in Nanaimo for 40 years and after she retired continued to help her students with tutoring in English. Laura will be missed by her family, a multitude of friends and her former pupils. Private family interment. A service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, September 2, 2005, 1:00pm at the Evangelistic Tabernacle, 1300 Princess Royal Street. Flowers gratefully declined.
