LAURA ETHEL BRADSHAW

May 12, 2008

Laura Ethel Bradshaw

Laura lived her life with a gentle and generous spirit. Her deep faith, strength, and optimism inspired all who knew her. Above everything, she valued family and fiends. People of all ages always felt comfortable and welcome in her home. She was deeply devoted to Knute and Dick, her daughter, Sharon, and her granddaughter, Laura. Her devotion extended to her family in Manitoba and Ontario, even though they were far away. She was also dedicated to serving her community with the Salvation Army, where she worked and volunteered for many years. She valued education and loved books and numbers. She built her life on true priorities and appreciated simple things. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Her presence will be missed and her life will be celebrated by all who knew her.

Laura was born on December 29, 1925 and died at peace on May 12, 2008 at the end of a full life. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 19 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church on the corner of Eighth and Bruce.

In honour of her life, Laura and Sharon encourage donations to Kiwanis Lodge, whose staff provided amazing care in the last year of her life, to the Salvation Army, whose work Laura supported, or to any organization that reflects and spirit in which she lived.
