Kenneth "Orval" Brownlee of Moose Jaw, SK passed away January 21, his 72nd birthday with family by his side. Orval was born in Moose Jaw in 1946.

He met his future wife, Joanne, while attending Central Collegiate. After graduation he followed her to Nanaimo, where they were married in 1967. A management position with Overwaitea Foods took him and his young family to Creston, Cranbrook, Golden, 100 Mile House and Summerland. The family moved to Moose Jaw in 1976 where he returned to his true calling of farming and continued his grocery career at Econo-Mart until 1992.

Orval began to contribute to the community by serving as a Councillor for the RM Council of Moose Jaw for 20 years and became a devoted Shriner. Orv and Jo loved to travel attending many Shriner events and family functions.

Orval is predeceased by his parents Ken and Irene (Davey) Brownlee.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 50 years Joanne (Schaffer); daughter Keri Stulberg (Dan Dumonceaux); son Ken (Olivia); grandchildren Austin Stulberg, Mason Stulberg, Logan Stulberg, Julianne Brownlee, Bailey Brownlee, Dawson Regier, Berkley Regier; sister Jean (Gord) Hudson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral Service was held on Friday January 26, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Hillcrest Apostolic Church, 1550 Main St N, Moose Jaw. Della Ferguson officiated.

Private Interment took place at Sunset Cemetery. For those so wishing memorial donations may be directed to the Moose Jaw Shrine Club.
