Kay passed away peacefully on July 24, 2008 at Arrowsmith Lodge, Parksville, BC. She was 85.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Marvin and her three children Bunny (Jane), David (Petra), and Meg (Dan) and 7 grandchildren Dean, Erik, Todd, Brian, Tyler, Andrew, Beverley, and 3 great grandchildren Dylan, McGuire and Hayden. She leaves a brother Bob.

Kay was born in New Westminster on November 5 to Annie and Donald Morrison. She married Marvin December 9, 1944. They lived in Alert Bay for 9 years and Nanaimo from 1956 to 2004.

Kay was generous with her talents, her time and energy, being very active in churches (Alert Bay United, Brechin United in Nanaimo, Unity of Nanaimo) service organizations (Meals on Wheels, MS Society, White Cane Club). Her loves always included music and she was active in Sweet Adelines and Nanaimo Theatre Group. She extended her big hearted service being Director of Bowen Park Seniors and as an activity aid at NRGH. She was a songbird and a great bright light.

The family are incredibly grateful for loving care from the Arrowsmith Lodge staff and Dr. Bell.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 1, 2008 at 1 pm at St. Phillips by the Sea Anglican Church at 7113 Lantzville Rd. in Lantzville. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please bring poems, prayers, or pictures for a scrapbook for her husband, Marvin.
