VEASEY, Katharina (nee Stuffco)
Born October 25, 1915, passed away January 17, 2003 in the Kiwanis Lodge Nanaimo. Predeceased by husband, Herbert in 1955, daughters Susan in 1955 and Blanche in 1938, grand daughter Valinda in 1968. She is survived by daughter Margaret (Jack), sons Herbert (Lucille), Charles, Harvey (Di ane) and John; grandchildren Ron (Brenda), Debbie (Rick), Herbert (Fiancée Alexandra), Janelle (Pat) and Holly (Rob); great grandchildren Sharron, Douglas, Madison and Stephanie; extend grand-great grandchildren Tracy, Rachelle, Lara, Brent, Bradley and Jonathan; brother, Henry (Evelyn); Numerous nieces and nephews. Though slowed by diabetes and a heart condition, she was avid gardener, cook and gambler, as long as she was able. However, as her strength and sight diminished, she remained a loyal patron of “The Casino”. Flowers are gratefully declined. Nanaimo, Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 24, 2003 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo 754-8333 with Fred Massey officiating. Interment to follow at Cedar Valley.
