It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Linnea Reid in Nanaimo BC on Saturday, June 30th at the age of 73.
Judy was an established resident of the community in Nanaimo since retirement 15 years ago after a long career as an entrepreneur in the food service industry in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver. Her circle of friends was large and she touched everyone she met. Her love of the ocean and community made Nanaimo a wonderful retirement home. She always worked hard and enjoyed travel and the relationships she made here.
Judy was predeceased by her husband Doug and her parents Kai and Mona Svendsen.
Judy will be missed by her children Susan Lock and Lars Jacobsen, and her grandchildren Kendra, Riley and Carson Lock, Kristen Jacobsen.
A private memorial will be held later in the summer.
Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Judy.
