With sadness we announce the passing of Joyce Bird on January 2nd at the age of 91. Joyce was predeceased by her first husband, Marshal Coleman; her second husband, Fred Bird; her daughter, Lin Ewing; and brother, Tom Merrick.
She is survived by son, David Coleman; grandchildren, Jennifer and Steven Ewing; son-in-law, Swede Ewing; stepson, Fred Bird, Jr; brother, Dick (Olive) Merrick; and friend and caregiver, Colleen (George) Reece.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 11th at St. Philip’s by-the-Sea Anglican Church, 7113 Lantzville Rd, Lantzville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nanaimo Harbour City Seniors.
