Joy Camden Naylor passed away peacefully after a short illness at Nanaimo Hospital on Wednesday March 19th 2008, in the 85th year of her living and the 82nd year of her dancing.

Joy was a woman of great character and deep and enduring faith. She was an oblate (associate) of Malling Abbey in Kent, England, and deeply

committed to the life of her local parish. She led a rich and extraordinary life as a ballerina, choreographer, and teacher of classical ballet in Britain, Europe, and throughout Canada. She has gifted the world with her son Richard, grandson John (Marie), great grandchildren Jasmin & Benjamin, and countless dance students around the world.

A service will take place Friday March 28th 2008, at 10.00 am at St

Edmund's Anglican Church, 407 Wembley Road, Parksville, with the Rev. Andrew Twiddy officiating. Burial in the churchyard, with reception to follow in the parish hall.
