September 9, 1930 - September 18, 2022
Joe passed away at Glenwarren Lodge in Victoria the early morning of September 18, 2022 just after his 92nd birthday.
A Longshoreman for many years and proud member of locals 505 and 514 he ended his working career as a Superintendent for Canadian Stevedoring. Joe moved his family from Tahsis to Prince Rupert finally settling in Nanaimo in the early 70's. A hunter, fisherman, gardener, and in his early years a fast ball player.
A die-hard Toronto Maple Leaf and Blue Jays fan. Playing crib was his favorite thing to do with anyone who would take him on. Predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2012, survived by his sisters Mary and Anne.
He will be sadly missed by his children Kevin (Michelle), Janice (Brian), Grandchildren Shane, Megan (Brent), Matthew (Renee), Justin (Emily) and great-grandchildren Brayden, Natalie, Petter and Jacob.
