March 6, 2021
Surrounded by the love of his family, Joseph (Calla Lily Joe) Delawsky left us on March 6, 2021 in Cedar, BC.
He is predeceased by his parents, Anne Pegura and John Delawsky, and his sister Marian Clements. He is survived by his children, Naida (Lionel), Joseph (Shannon), Ann-Marie (Robin); grandchildren Natasha, Alex, Annalysse; and his kind and attentive friends and neighbors, Rick and Kelly Kerley.
Joe's story began in Prince George, a precious gift to Ukrainian immigrant parents. He was a freethinker: unconventional and pragmatic with a plethora of interests and passions: fishing, hunting, beekeeping, crib, competitive dog showing.
Though his lifelong career was in finance, he was his most fulfilled self in his garden, creating, nurturing, and harvesting. We will miss our dad's wit, intelligence, and the tremendous empathy he demonstrated throughout his life, particularly in his career.
Thanks to Dr. Michael Garfinkle and Dr. Cody Van Valkenburg for your extraordinary care. No service or flowers by request. Donations may be made, in Joe's memory, to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (https://kidney.ca/Get-Involved/Make-a-Gift/In-Memory-Tribute-Donations).

I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I have a dream
