JOHN HEWITT REAVLEY

January 28, 2013

Reavley, John Hewitt

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather died on January 28, 2013.

Hewitt is preceded in death by his son Brent and parents, John William and Majorie Reavley.

He is survived by his wife Carol; his children Kim (Linda); Todd; Joy, Susan (Dave); 4 granddaughters Jamie, Brooke, Shelby and Shayden; 5 grandsons Kody, Blake, Torrie, T.J. and Tyson along with four great grandchildren Jordyn, Emmersyn, Ava and Rhyder as well as many relatives.

Born on August 18, 1935, in Kenora Ontario. Upon completion of school, he went on to earn his Millwright trade in Cornwall Ontario in 1958 working for Howard Smith Paper mill. In 1966 he set out on new adventures and landed in Gold River constructing the new mill as a Millwright. In 1971 the family then moved to Nanaimo where Hewitt worked at Harmac until his retirement.

In his life, he was full of adventure and lived life to the fullest. He was an avid supporter of his grandchildren’s activities and spent many hours at the hockey arena or ball field cheering them on. He loved to build and fix things and after retirement enjoyed travel, and sharing his photos and stories with us. He will be sorely missed by everyone.
