Murphy, John Edward (Jack) passed away at Dufferin Place, Nanaimo, BC on September 12, 2002. Born in Nanaimo of a Fifth Generation Family on July 28, 1932, aged 70 years. He is survived by his wife Verelyn, sons Michael (Tia) and Ken (Wendy), six grandchildren Colin, Brent, Mandi, Kelsey, Amanda and Daniel. Numerous nieces and nephews. Jack worked 43 years at Harmac where co-workers enjoyed his humour and big heart. Deer, fish, ducks, and geese are free to roam. “Tight Lines and Straight Shooting.” A celebration of Jack’s life was held on Monday, September 16, 2002 at 1:00 pm at St. Phillips By the Sea, Lantzville, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
