Jodie, daughter of Sharien and Ted Williams and beloved wife of Sam Halsall, passed away peacefully with her family at her side in the early evening of May 13th at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
She was a beautiful person with a love for life, a devoted wife, a generous friend and a loving daughter and sister.
Jodie was passionate about many things. She loved science fiction, fantasy books and movies. After moving to Nanaimo with Sam, she took her RCA course and worked in the Senior Care Field for years before changing to retail, where she committed herself fully to each and every job.
Jodie loved her friends and enjoyed playing board games with them. Her cats Marissa and Cosmo were a special part of her life. She had a beautiful laugh, accompanied by a seriously off-colour sense of humor. When telling you a story, it was completed without interruption even if there was an 9.0 earthquake occurring.
She leaves behind her loving husband Sam, her parents, Sharien and Ted, sister Marnie Premont, brother Gordon Williams (Sarah), Grandmother Margaret Chipman, nieces, many aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her other family, Sam's parents Art and Jennifer Halsall, Sam's siblings, their spouses and children.
Our beautiful Jodie was taken from us far too soon and the ache in our hearts from the loss is unbearable. Sweetheart, you will never be forgotten, and always loved.
We hope to plan a Celebration of Life for family and friends post Covid. Please do not send flowers or gifts but honour her by spending and enjoying time with your loved ones. That's what Jodie would have wanted.
