It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, and aunty Joan on March 22, 2019.
She will be forever remembered by her daughters, Janice and Lynn (Liam); grandchildren: Karina (Clint), Rory (Anika), Chad (Tara), Morgan, and Kirsten; great grandchildren: Kayleen, Montana, Oriah, Odin, Ethan, Evan, Shelby ,Jayda, Bailey, Nadal; sisters Faye and Melva; brother Stuart; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by her husband Jim in 2005, son Jimmy in 2015, parents Mildred and William, and siblings: Sis, Jim, Phyllis, George, Harvey, Gloria, Murray, and Mervin.
A public visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 6, 2019, at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 301 Machleary St, Nanaimo, with burial to follow at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens and reception and fellowship to follow at Cedar Hall.
