March 22, 1926 - May 22, 2019
Joan passed peacefully on the morning of May 22, 2019, with loving family by her side. She was born March 22, 1926 to Jack and Hazel Miller in Comox, BC.
Joan was predeceased by her cherished husband of sixty years, Jim in 2009 and her devoted brothers Jack and Sandy.
She is survived by her three daughters, Dianne (Danny), Dawn (Scott) and Mary Ann (Mike). She also leaves her four precious grandchildren, Jimmy, Andrea, Robert and Ryan, a treasured sister-in-law, Lois Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joan had fond memories of living in North Vancouver, and then moving to Nanaimo where her family roots originate back to the mid 1800s. She and Jim established many wonderful friendships through golf and bridge clubs. Together they looked forward to annual golf vacations and worldwide travels.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated staff at Dover House. They provided Mom with exceptional, loving care for her last two years. We would also like to thank Dr. Kazanowski for her compassion.
There will be no service by request. Flowers gratefully declined.
