passed away peacefully in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on October 18, 2004 at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his loving wife Christine; sons, Wayne Craigie, Paul Craigie and their families, and sister Viola Bloom. Jerry was a citizen of the world and a man of many talents. He had a private pilot’s licence but also loved boating and motorhoming. He was a marketing expert, a Major in the Canadian Army, had a Doctorate in Business Administration and held many civic positions during his lifetime, including that of Past President of the Rotary Club of Nanaimo North. He had a life long love of music and played the drums in the local “Chelsea Trio” jazz band. He also loved to do magic shows as “Dr. Magic” as well as being an avid golfer. Jerry gave of himself to the end and will be missed by many. A celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on October 30, 2004 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church 4235 Departure Bay Road, Nanaimo. Co-officiates Reverend David Robertson and Kathy Eliasen, Nanaimo Unity Church. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to the Hepatitis C Society 5606 Big Bear Ridge, Nanaimo BC V9T 2K2. Charitable receipts will be issued.
