On August 4, 2021 at 11 pm, Jerrold Kelvin Peterson, loving husband, father and sweet Papa to many, quietly passed away in his sleep.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Paula; his children, Robin(Russ), Terresa(Steve), Jay(Andrea), and Lynn(Brian); his stepchildren, Sherry(Jon), Cindy(Ron), Richard, Cathy, and Holly; 16 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-great Grandchild.
Jerry suffered from dementia and had been in a care home for the last year and a half. His family wishes to thank Eden Gardens for providing him with such excellent care.
His wife, Paula, and several of his children and grandchildren were with him during his last few days. While there was sorrow, there was also special memories shared with love and laughter filling the room. We are certain he knew we were there and went with peace and love in his heart.
His wife and family are very thankful for the outpouring of love and the heartfelt spirit of those that have shared his life over his 87 years.
It was Jerry's request that a quiet service be held with immediate family only. Jerry had a great love of animals and helping people in need. If you would like to honour Jerry's memory, donations in lieu of flowers may be offered to the Wildlife Recovery Centre in Errington or Manna in Parksville.
