Jean (Shigeko) Kitagawa
Jean passed away peacefully at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on October 21, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents Toemon and Kiku Urabe (BC), her brother Fred in Toronto, and sister Kinue in Japan. She is survived by her best friend and husband John (for over 63 years), her daughter Donna, son and daughter-in-law David and Branka, and two very much loved grandchildren, Nikita and Keaton. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gertrude and her only nephew Tim, both of Toronto.
The family wishes to sincerely thank their Mother’s doctors, Dr. Lam for his continuous care for her many problems, Dr. King for his gracious support while she was at the hospital, and Dr. Pistone for his ongoing friendship and care. Thank you also to Dr. Lam’s receptionist for all her help.
In lieu of flowers or Koden, please make donations to the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Memorial Service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1720 Bowen Road, at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
