It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of James Biddle: husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, friend and all around awesome guy.
A devoted family man, Jim was the rock that kept us grounded and was always there with love, support and a good laugh. He was a longtime member of the IUOE local 115 and earned the respect of many as he worked hard and climbed the ladder of success. He was also an avid golfer and retirement in Qualicum Beach offered many a venue and a group of good friends to share in this pastime. Dad was also an active service club member with the Shriners and Masons and flipped many a “flapjack” at various events.
Left behind to mourn are his wife of 59 years, Kay; his daughters Pam (Eric) Froehlich and Val (Harry) Schild as well as four grandsons; Joshua (Dennielle), Jordan (Somer), Tyson (Bailey) and Tori (Ryley); five great-grandsons; Noah, Austin, Aiden, Gavin & Magnus and his special “little rascal” Misty who was his walking buddy and a great source of pleasure.
A memorial is scheduled for Sat, Jan 10th at the Coast Bastion Hotel in Nanaimo, BC at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children (shriners@shawcable.com) or the Alzheimer’s Society in Dad’s name would be appreciated.
