James Norman William Mardon, known as "Jim" passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018, at the age of 87 at the Chartwell Malaspina Care facility in Nanaimo. Jim was born on December 01, 1931, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Jim was predeceased by his parents Christina Helen Mardon (Browne), Leonard Henry Mardon, and his sister Dorothy Helen Asmussen (Mardon). He is survived by his sister Audrey Bernice Aquino (Mardon), his cousin Joyce Gronlund (Nicholson), his former wife Phyllis Mardon, along with nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.

Jim was employed at the Harmac Pulp Mill in Nanaimo for most of his working years and enjoyed meeting friends during his leisure hours at the Wheatsheaf Inn and the Cranberry Hotel in Cedar.

Flowers gratefully declined, donations can be made to the BC Lung Association in memory of Jim. There will be no service by request.

The family and friends of Jim would like to thank Lesley, the nurses, and the doctors on the Blue Heron Ward at the Chartwell Malaspina Care facility for their care and compassion during his time there.
