Passed away peacefully at Dufferin Place Care Facility on May 1st at the age of 97. He is survived by his loving wife Allwyn (married 73 years) and his son Fred (Anne) and daughters Beverley (Roy) and Teresa (Dwayne), 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was born in Tonypandy, Wales, February 19, 1919 and came to Canada at age 9. Most of his life (71 years) was spent in Nanaimo. He worked at Harmac for 30 years and retired at age 65. He was a very loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Dufferin Place for their care and compassion during his stay.
There will be a private family service on June 19th.
