October 23, 1962 - June 25, 2018
It is with great heartache that the family announce the passing of James Douglas Currie (Jim), on June 25th, 2018, in the arms of his loving wife, Bev, after a courageous fight with cancer.

Jim was born in Ottawa, Ontario October 23, 1962. He was a long time resident of Nanaimo. A loving husband, proud father and wonderful grandpa. A son, a brother, an uncle and a true friend.

Jim worked at Harmac for 24 years in the steam plant and then joined the FMO team at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. He loved his family more than anything and his career and friends came a very close second.

Predeceased by his mother Georgina (2003) and brother Don (2013). He is survived by his wife and best friend Bev, sons Matthew (Sarah) and Brandon (Tiana). His father Garnet and his sister Jan (Reg) Miller. His grandchildren (the light of his life) Hailey, James, Jacob, Maggie, Everly, Hudson and Everett. Brother in law Ike (Jennifer) Armitage and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no service at Jim's request.

A celebration of his amazing life will occur at a later date.
