WHITEOAK,Jacqueline Marie
(nee Godsmark/ nee Grouhel). Passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2009. Survived by her two children: Martin D. (Barbara E.) Godsmark of Penticton and Gordon W. Godsmark of Edmonton; three grandchildren: Corrie L. (Kurt) Goessman of Salmon Arm, Kristie M. (Glen) Rasmussen of Denmark, Ben G.A. Godsmark of Penticton; two great grandchildren: Erik M. and Kamryn L. Goessman both of Salmon Arm; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by husbands George H. Godsmark and Horace C. Whiteoak. Mom was a generous soul who loved her life and whose favorite phrase was “I’d rather be fishing.” Her infectious enthusiasm for all things living will linger in all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. from Parkview Chapel, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, BC with Reverend Ralph Spencer officiating and reception to follow. Memorial tributes may be made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, 201 1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2E6. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Providence Funeral Homes.
