1929-2013

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Milot, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Never complaining, she fought a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and heart disease. Jackie passed away quietly in her home on July 9, 2013.

Born in Ladysmith, BC on June 14, 1929, Jackie and her sister Mary grew up at the Diamond. In 1949 Jackie married the love of her life Edward (Ed) Milot. They spent the next sixty-four years together. In 1989 they left Nanaimo and moved to the beach in Nanoose Bay. Their shared love of travel took Jackie and Ed to China, Mongolia and cruises to Alaska and Panama. They boated through the gulf islands and took their RV to Mexico, the USA and across Canada. She loved square dancing and doing the jitterbug.

She is survived by her caring and loving husband Ed, daughter Arlene (Merv) Piper, son Gary (Francine) Milot; grandchildren Tracy (Maurice) Baldwin, Cory (Sofia) Isaacs, Jeffrey Milot, Mellissa Milot, Calvin Milot, Derek Piper and Noel Piper; great grandchildren Peyton Baldwin, Alec and Tindra Isaacs, Alice and Eddie Milot and many nieces and nephews.
