HALLBERG, J.S. Lawrie
Born in Ladysmith, BC December 11, 1927, passed away peacefully in his sleep January 7, 2006. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Donalda, children: Jane, Joanne (Jodie), Jeff, Greg, grandchildren: Bryce, Jill, Karen, Drew, Haley, Jacob and Aaron, brother Eldon (Mary), sister Margaret and sister in-law Eileen. Lawrie spent many years in Edmonton in the Insurance Industry and continued in that field after moving to Nanaimo in 1978. He was a man of many words with a wry sense of humor and a passion for fishing and boating. Many thanks to the staff at NRGH and Nanaimo Seniors Village for their care and compassion as well as friends, and neighbours who have been there for us. A Celebration of Life will be held January 21, 2006 at the Inn on Long Lake for 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lawrie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society or Charity of your choice.
