Irene Louise Humpherville

Our beloved Mom/Nanny passed away quietly on March 29th in the Palliative Care Unit of the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. She was surrounded by the loving care of her family and friends during her last weeks. She is survived by her son, Robert (Barb) Humpherville of Nanaimo; her daughter, Shannon Friedrichs of Vernon; and 3 grandchildren who she simply adored, Tyson & Toni Humpherville of Nanaimo and Malachi Friedrichs of Vernon.
The family would particularly like to acknowledge the truly outstanding care Irene received at the Palliative Care Unit, and our heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Robin Love, the floor nurses and hospice volunteers for the kindness and compassion shown to her and us during her stay.
There will be a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall on 1064 Old Victoria Drive at 1:30 pm, Saturday, April 6, 2013. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in honour of Irene – she was all about helping others!
