Irene Karen Glatiotis

July 17, 1922 - September 9, 2013

It is with profound sadness that the Glatiotis family announce that Irene Karen Glatiotis, 91, of Nanaimo, B.C. passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9th, 2013.

Irene was born in Edmonton Alberta, July 17th, 1922 the daughter of Mary and Nills Willman.

As a long- time member of Jonaco Hobby Club, Irene had a passion for and instructed others in painting, pottery and Danish wool art for most of her 40 years in Nanaimo.

She was also a long standing member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Camrose Alberta and Nanaimo.

She is survived by Kenneth Glatiotis, her loving husband of 67 years. Also surviving are her two sons Randall Glatiotis of Salmon Arm and Kevin Glatiotis of Victoria; one daughter Cherrie Spencer of Calgary; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Irene has requested that there be no formal service and instead a small, informal celebration of her life be held at her residence at Cedar by the Sea on September 21st , 2013 from 2pm to 4pm
