September 28, 1921 - March 1, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ingrid Godfreyson on Sunday, March 1 at the age of 98 years at Woodgrove Manor.
Ingrid was born September 28, 1921 at Calgary Alberta to parents Carl and Linnea Franzen. Her husband Harold (1917-1992) was employed in the RCAF so they lived in various locations in Canada before moving to BC. Over the years Ingrid and Harold were active in various activities and organizations including curling, square dancing, Bowen Park Seniors, Sons of Norway and Hope Lutheran Church.
She leaves behind her son John Godfreyson (Zelma Edgar); daughter-in-law Sue Godfreyson (Greg McDonald); grandchildren: Tikki Butcher (Jeff), Chris Godfreyson (Lea), Kim Godfreyson (Virginia Malicdem); and great grandchildren: Galen Butcher, Maëlle Butcher, Abigail Godfreyson and Julian Godfreyson.
Funeral service to be held at 11:00 am on Monday March 9, 2020 at Hope Lutheran Church, 2174 Departure Bay Road, followed by a reception.
