Hubert Earl SENIOR

SENIOR - Hubert Earl Senior was born Jan. 31, 1919 in North Sydney, N.S. and passed away peacefully at the age of 84 yrs. on May 27, 2003 in Nanaimo B.C.

Hugh will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 yrs., Anne (nee MacKenzie). Also by his two daughters Jeanne (Hal) Jenner of Perth ON. and JoAnne (John) Allison of Langley B.C. His fun loving spirit is remembered with love by his four grandchildren Jennifer, Jasmine, Angela, and Ian. Along with his great granddaughter Jadzia. Hugh is also survived by his older sister Rae Luffman of Halifax N.S. and nephew Gordon (Helen) Vigas of Toronto, ON. Also many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Canada. Hugh proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces, enlisting in 1939 and serving in WW2 with the Cape Breton Highlanders. He remained in the Army after the war and served with the International Control Commission in Vietnam for one year. He retired in 1969.

Hugh loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge.

Sincere thanks to the 2nd floor staff at the Nanaimo Seniors Village for all their love and respect towards Hugh during the last 1.5 years. Also thank you to Lorna for her help and friendship.
