Hjalmar Hilding Rampanen
May 1, 1927 ~ December 28, 2011
Hjalmar passed away peacefully at Wexford Creek, Nanaimo. Predeceased by his parents, Joel & Lempi; and brother, Vikko. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; sister, Sirka; brothers: John, Erki and Danny; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Hjalmar lived a quiet life. His hobbies were fishing, gardening and doing puzzles.
His family would like to thank NRGH emergency and 4th floor staff and Wexford Creek 2nd floor staff for their excellent care and compassion.
There will be a Memorial Service, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1720 Bowen Rd, followed by the interment of his cremated remains at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.
