Henry Joseph LaJeunesse
July 23, 1930 ~ June 8, 2010
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Henry “Bud” La Jeunesse. He was born in Kenora, ON, on July 23, 1930. He moved to Port Arthur and to the Chase River area of Nanaimo, and spent his later years at the Woodgrove Estates. He worked on construction in Ontario and BC. He was a long time employee as a maintenance carpenter at Harmac. He retired in 1987, when he was able to pursue his hobbies of camping, fishing, gardening and woodwork.
Bud will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Edna Pearl La Jeunesse; children: Rhonda (Wayne), Larry (Lise), Nancy, Terry (Carol), Annette, Donna (John); grandchildren: Ross, Dawn, Shannon, Heather, Kimberly, Nicole, Alex, Myles, Samantha, Gregory, Athena, Brittany; great grandchildren Brooke, and Sofia. He also leaves 3 brothers and 1 sister.
A Memorial Service will be held on July 10, 2010 at 10:00 am at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
