Hickling, Harry Donald passed away on October 19, 2002 at Nanaimo Hospital, after a long illness and a brave fight with cancer. Predeceased by two daughters Jo-Ann and Jillene. Loving husband of wife Carol and Dad of daughter Valerie M and son Bryon (Sharron), Grampy of Les, Curtis (Tammi) and Donny (Johanne), Tammy (Terry), Christie and Kacey, Great Grampy to Declan, step children Leah and Jason and their families. Our heart felt thanks to Dr. Roe and Dr. Spry and palliative nurses, home support personnel for their loving care, also to all our neighbours and all the extra special care from Mary and Peter, Ruddy and Carol who cared for us like family, and to Mike and Laurie for our lawn care. Harry was in the Air Force for 3 years, a member of the R.C.M.P. for 20 years and in Nanaimo he was a clerk of the Court Registry for 12 years. In lieu of flowers do nations in Harry’s memory to the Cancer Research or a charity of your choice.
