Harriett Richenda Sheepwash passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on August 11, 2012 in Nanaimo B.C.

Harriett was born on April 14, 1924 to Richard and Henrietta Caldwell. She was always very proud to be a native daughter of Nanaimo and resided here her entire life. She passed away of age related causes at the age of 88 years.

She was the oldest of four children born to the late Richard and Henrietta Caldwell and was the beloved wife of the late Herbert Earl Sheepwash. Harriett will be remembered always by her sister, Joan Jacobson of Port Alberni, B.C., Christine (Douglas) Shipp of Cranbrook B.C., and her brother Ralph Caldwell of Nanaimo, B.C. Harriett was the loving mother of four children: Karen (Ray) Patrick of Fairhope, Alabama, Patricia Sheepwash of Nanaimo, B.C., Dale (Kelly) Sheepwash of Nanaimo, B.C., Harriett suffered the loss of her third child, Alan Earl Sheepwash in January 1963. She loved and prayed faithfully for her seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Harriett was an active member of First Baptist Church.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Harriett’s life at First Baptist Church, 1650 Waddington Road, Nanaimo B.C., August 17, 2012 at 6:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gideon Society, or to the Travellers Lodge, Nelson Unit. The family thanks the staff of the Nelson Unit for their kind and loving care of Harriett. We are deeply grateful.
