Oct 22, 1926 - Dec 29, 2017
Gordon was born in Lochgelly, Fife, Scotland on October 22, 1926, and died after a brief illness of viral pneumonia, on December 29, 2017 at 91 years old, with his wife Kathy by his side at Eden Gardens.

It is with extreme grief and sadness that we had to say good-bye to Gordon, he leaves behind the love of his life Kathy, his four daughters and their families.

Senga, Katie(Duane), Lisa(Geno), and Christy-Lynn(Michael), the legacy of Gordon will live on in the lives of his four grandchildren whom he loved very much; Riley, Brody, Rocco, and Bronson.

Gordon first left his home in Scotland to join the Household Cavalry (Royal Horses Guard) to serve in the British Army for 5 Years. After leaving Britain, Gordon spent nine years in Australia, and also travelled for several years to many different parts of the world.

On one of his travels Gordon met Kathy and fell in love, they married in August of 1971. Gordon at that time settled down to a job that he loved with School District # 57 in Prince George as a grounds maintenance man for 23 years.

After retiring the family moved to Nanaimo in 1992. Gordon enjoyed many years of good health until he suffered from several mini strokes that left him with vascular dementia.

For the past 11 months Gordon lived at Eden Gardens where he experienced the care of many wonderful, loving people.

We are grateful to those people and want to hold that in our hearts as we grieve our loss.

The family will gather at a later date in Prince George to celebrate Gordon's life.
