Gordon passed away peacefully in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Palliative Care Unit on August 29, 2013, with Del by his side. He was born in Victoria, BC, March 21, 1933.
Gordon will forever be remembered by his wife of 57 years, Del; his beloved daughters, Carlene (George) Beattie and Kelley (Dale) Salmond; his 3 adored grandchildren: Jocelyn (Steven) Klemes, Kathleen (Jason) Darby, and Kara Salmond; and 4 great grandchildren: Scarlett, Viktor, Ella and Karlo. He also leaves his sister, Margaret Geldart.
Gordon loved his family dearly and his many good friends, with whom he would say he’s had a double lifetime of camaraderie and fun.
Funeral will be held at Trinity Catholic Church, 6234 Spartan Rd., Nanaimo, BC, Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM; Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, with much gratitude, please direct donations to Nanaimo Palliative Care Unit.
