It is with great sadness that the family of Glenna McKinnon announces her passing on January 23, 2023. Predeceased by her Sister Gloria Heller, and her loving husband of 43 years, Guy McKinnon.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Keli (Ray), granddaughters Grace and Lindsey her niece Cheryl (Norm) nephew Brian (Kirsten), great nieces Jennifer Katie and Sarah and great nephew Dan. Glenna was born in Paddockwood, Saskatchewan February 4, 1942.
Glenna, Guy and daughter Keli moved to Nanaimo BC in 1980, then to Gabriola Island in 1991. Glenna and Guy enjoyed travelling for several years until once again settling down in Nanaimo in 2002. Glenna loved to be out in many of her wonderful gardens, taking care of the weeds, and making them beautiful for all to see. She was an avid badminton player with her team winning Silver in the 2007 Nanaimo Senior Games. Glenna often loved opportunities to for many walks with those around her. She was a kind friend to many and was dearly loved by her family, for being a fun-loving and caring soul.
At Glenna's request, a private Celebration of Life with the family has been held.
