Turcios Ortez, Gilberto
May 20, 1928 – April 12, 2015
Gilberto passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at Malaspina Gardens in Nanaimo BC. Gilberto was born in Jocoro El Salvador and emigrated to Canada in 1985. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years Alba Nelly, November 5, 2011, his sisters Carlota and Delmy.
He is survived by his son Edgar (Debra), his daughters Alma, Nivea (Melvin), his sister Ofelia who is living in California USA; his grandchildren Marcos, Samuel, Daniel, Raquel, Edgar, Glenda, & Ivett; his nieces and nephews Salvador Jr., Maribel, Emely, Estela, Enrique, Beto, Mario, his brother-in-law Salvador Escobar Sr. Special thanks to the nurses, care aids, and all the personal at Malaspina Gardens for the high quality of care and the love they gave to our father Gilberto.
A celebration of life will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church 2400 Highland Blvd. Nanaimo BC on May 17 at 2:00 p.m.
