November 1, 1938 - July 21, 2018
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine Elaine Fehr after her battle with Cancer. Predeceased by parents Henry and Violet Jolly, husband Peter Fehr and long time friend Gordon Bunton.

She leaves behind her loving sister Eleanor Bloomfield, son Tom Fehr, daughters Carolyn West (Mark), Barbara Fehr and Joanne Fehr (Mike), grandchildren Brandon, Brianna, Taylor, Rebecca and Nicole and great grandchildren Ben, Jake and Henry, as well as, nieces, nephews and friends.

Gerrie was born in Winnipeg, MB, her family re-located to Burnaby, BC in 1947 where she went on to graduate from King Edward High School in 1956.

After marrying in 1958 she lived in Kitimat and Quesnel, BC before moving to Nanaimo in 1964 where she raised her family. She worked as a nurse for many years at NRGH and finished her career at Kiwanis Lodge where she worked in accounting until retiring in 1998.

In her early years she enjoyed painting ceramics, rowing, playing softball, and league bowling. She also loved the outdoors and spent many summers camping at different locations but once she found Hornby Island she returned there often. After retiring she took up researching Genealogy, updating the family tree and volunteered on weekends with Citizens on Patrol.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Love the Medical staff and Care Aides in the Palliative Care Unit for the excellent care and attention she received during her time there. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Departure Bay Road from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Church where she worshiped and volunteered time in the office.
